I need to find information on what artist[s] lost their sense of creativity after sobering up. Basically I need to prove or state that someone out there that became clean and sober DID lose their sense of creativity. Anyone that helps would be thanked graciuosly, and best answer gets the points. Please provide any sources you’ve looked up.
Thanks!

It depends on who you ask. Do you want artists’ perspectives or audience? Classically, audiences seem to criticize the work of artists who sober up. Only occasionally have I come across quotes from artist’s themselves who say their work has suffered after being sober. Unfortunately I can’t recall right now what artist I recently heard acknowledge that their work has suffered while sober. It’s a rare thing that a person will come out and admit that.
