Answer from Mystics perspective.
A mystics perspective?
Nothing mystical about the words of Jesus (pbuh), when he said "Follow Me".
A simple translation:
Christ-consciousness/God-realization.
Peace be always with you.
May the wind be always at your back.
Salaams,
Sounds kinda new age to me. Is that the same as the Holy spirit?. The spirit of meekness and charity?
He would find a lot of the same legalism and lack of true God consciousness he found among the Pharisees?
Need you ask?
…being used by Modern Faiths today?
precisely! its us working out our own salvation! God warns us its not by works but by grace that we are saved.church goers are stuck at that infantile sunday school level, still sucking on milk!the parable of Lazarus in the tomb points to the fact that we are like stinking corpses .can do nothing toward our own salvation, but only when Jesus calls us ,like he did Lazarus, can our spirits come to life.
Christ is the end of the law, not the mend of law.
Christ is our peace, who abolished the law (the enmity).
When Christ minded, no devils to cast out nor enemies to love or hate.
The law was not created to save us, but to show us how far we are from God’s standard of perfection and how much we are in need of grace.
Now before you Orthodox literalistic Christians start wailing and gnashing your teeth at my question please think about it.
The Roman Catholic Church would have you believe that before Jesus the world was completely in a state of sin. From that we have the flawed basis of Orthodox Christianity which stifles spirituality and mysticism.Yet the myth of the God-Man has been around since the dawn of time.Does this myth as all myths do allude to a condition inherent within the spirit of Humanity along with its female principle The Holy Spirit?
Please refrain from quoting the Bible.Your not thinking for yourself if you do and remember this is a question and indicates not what I believe or my state of mind only what I wish to discover by your answers.
Non -believers need not answer. If a person has never tasted pork then how can they describe its flavour.
D R U M S:Your comment reflects the size of your intellect Saklas.
Tapestry:I get my information from my studies in Comparative Theology and I can debate with you without the dogmatic thought controlled respone. And obviously you yourself must read"chick publications"because for the life of me I have no idea what your refering too.
The RC Organization has stated this in their teachings and I seriously need to know when divine revalation stopped and why only RC’s have a monoply on the lie they call the truth. You did not answer the question properly which I expect from blind sheep fit for the slaughter.
Avondrow:You write like a lawyer. In ancient Greek the wotd Christos was around 400 years before Jesus. It was the early church who hijacked the concept and attached to the Jesus to validate his divinity. So who is right and who is wrong.Read your Greek and study Platonic Ideas.
The Zomb:Ah now we are getting close without religious semantics and the tiresome ignorance of literalist who have been brainwashed into closing their minds hoping their God will reward them with a fresh new body in a paradise yet to be experienced.
KENNETH D:Read my comments to Avondrow.
MUDARTHA:Who are you to judge me for blasphemy.A certain great and wonderful man was also judged for blasphemy and before he was executed he did say:Judge not lest ye be judged yourself.
And by what divine theological laws have I broke to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.
Do you know the concept of the Divine Feminine Holy Spirit.Or in your mind is a male concept like the Father and the Son.Tell me please for I have asked a simple question and you have not understood. So I will simplify it for you.
CHRISTOS=GREEK=ANOINTED ONE.
If this concept was already in the Greek psyche then why is it a sin in your eyes for me to ask if this consciousness was in humanity before Jesus of Nazerath.Jesus said that he was the son of God and he was judged to be a blasphemer by the laws of Judaism. So my question reflects this.
And can you refrain from psychoanalysing me.I am not trying to look clever.I already know I am clever. But thts not my fault only my gift from the divine.
Some dissection:
"The Roman Catholic Church would have you believe that before Jesus the world was completely in a state of sin."
Ermmmm I’ve been a Catholic all my life and they’ve never asked me to believe that (this is the problem with not sourcing, you can accuse people of believing anything you feel it would suit you for them to believe). I think maybe you meant to say they believe that before Christ every person was in a state of original sin, preventing them from entering heaven. Good still existed in the world before Jesus.
"the myth of the God Man has been around since the dawn of time"
What a meaningless unfounded statement. What surviving mythological statements are there left floating around from the dawn of time that you feel you’re entitled to state that as a matter of fact? If there are ancient pointers to a God Man, why couldn’t they have stemmed from Old Testament prophets.
Here’s a good book to read, broaden your horizon:

Jesus, who brought division and not peace, said
no longer hate your enemy, but love your enemy.
However this is still ‘enemy’ consciousness. For
grace of law/grace is still division, and not peace.
Christ, who is our peace, and is not divided,
has no enemies at all to either hate or to love.
God is not the author of enemy consciousness,
rather God is the author of peace (no enemies).
Peace with God is "through Jesus –> Christ", only in Christ.
Reconciling the world to God is done in Christ (not in Jesus).
Cool story, bro.
I had a very interesting discussion with some people and alot of people were talking about this Universal Christ, saying that Jesus was a man, but God incarnated in many names not only just Jesus. When I visited other countries this was quit true, as people worshipped Jesus in a different name! It makes me think, what makes people think God cannot incarnate as many people? If God is universal wouldn’t God be known to many not just Christians?
God is known to many because made everything and everybody. The thing is, people make God out to be anything they want him to be. We all have some innate sense of a higher being, but what really matters is if you get the right teachings as to who, or what this higher being is. This is the universal problem. Depending on what you learn, some people might have the image of God portrayed to them in a serious of unrealistic, and untrue ways.
When you seek for knowledge and wisdom from God or Christ,
give your self a favor,do not look out side of your self for those answer
The churchs, the bibles and the priests that preach trial in error on to you, they
can only do more damage towards knowing thy self well
The out side of our self, like the bible content or the priest talking to us,
they do not (have) experience God’s awareness or Christ consciousness in
the same way we would if we learn from within….
Have you find the student in you?
I seek knowledge, but not from your sources…I was fed those dregs for years as a child with fear as the basis for it. I am still learning
