Do creativity and intelligence come from luck (genetics and environment) or from hard work?

This may be helpful: http://www.explore-ideas.com/story.php?i=1268

However, it is commonly believed by scientists that development involves both nature and nurture working together in interaction.

I want to know the symbols/animals that represent creativity, independence, free-spirit, adventurous, explorer.

Light Bulb would be good for creativity. Eagle for independence, those are easy. But I think a wild mustang would be the best all around symbol for you.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a type of brain stimulation that I’ve only recently heard about. It sounds like a very useful invention. From what I read, it can have strong beneficial effects on addiction, depression, ADHD, and several other debilitating disorders.

What shocked me, though, is the claim that it can increase creativity within 15 minutes by increasing brain activity in the right hemisphere of the brain.

How do you feel about that?
Think ‘Flowers for Algernon’

This, if it proves to work, is just another tool in the progress of our civilization.

other examples of things that artificially inspire creativity
Coffee, Ritalin, adderal, computers, before these people have devised ways of meditation and diets or exercises that promote creativity.

the new wave of "Brain steroids" or drugs like Ritalin are just another form of humans pushing past there biological limits. A computer allows you to store and process more info than your brain could alone.

And for those who say this is not natural then look at society none of it is natural. the fact your using a computer defeats your "lets all be purely natural" argument. When society was close to nature and lived simply the life expectancy was 30 – today its 75 cant have a good life if your dead.

If these new drugs and devices prove safe then I say we use them like we use cars because we are comparatively slow or cloths because we lack proper insulation.

What if a scientist using brain enhancing drugs or devices cures cancer due to those technologies. This type of manipulation is a step forward for humans and i welcome it.

What impact could the use of technology have on human creativity? While some point out negative effects, could technology also impact creativity in a positive manner? Explain.

technology has a tendency of making people a bit lazy. both mentally and physically.

For instance, the technology for movies has been around for about 100 years, but there are few that have the impact that a properly produced stage play has….This is because the various craftsmen including actors, directors, sound and lighting people do not stop and think enough about how to produce a quality product.

We have to add creativity to a project we are doing on Confederation for history. We have an ‘interview’ type skit and we also have a news paper article. What can we add to make it more ‘creative’??? Please help!!!!!

i try to write the answers your problem in my blog http://www.mystructuredsettlement.co.cc you can see any problem in my blog.

After helping my friend with a paper, she told me that we should write a book together. I was excited until she said, "I have the ideas and you have the grammar. We’d make a great team!"

How can I expand my creativity as a writer?

Creativity is not inborn, so the simple answer is to just work at it. Read a lot of creative works, and attempt different approaches to writing. Don’t try to imitate anything though, just write naturally.

Creative and innovative figures from the past often encountered tidal waves of destructive criticism or even punishment. Still, they persisted with their ideas. Yet others were encouraged and rewarded financially or in some other tangible way for their innovations.

But what best fosters creativity? Innate ability or approval from others?

Innate ability. If we waited around for the approval of others, no good, creative ideas would ever surface or be recognized.

I need to find information on what artist[s] lost their sense of creativity after sobering up. Basically I need to prove or state that someone out there that became clean and sober DID lose their sense of creativity. Anyone that helps would be thanked graciuosly, and best answer gets the points. Please provide any sources you’ve looked up.
Thanks!

It depends on who you ask. Do you want artists’ perspectives or audience? Classically, audiences seem to criticize the work of artists who sober up. Only occasionally have I come across quotes from artist’s themselves who say their work has suffered after being sober. Unfortunately I can’t recall right now what artist I recently heard acknowledge that their work has suffered while sober. It’s a rare thing that a person will come out and admit that.

I wanted to know some good, well paid jobs that involve creativity and/or design (apart from fashion design and interior design)
Thanks!!
P.S if possible, please say the salary i could get with the careers!

3d Animation which can range anywhere from 30k-100k (Depends on the studio).

Depending on your visual art skills you could become a graphist, maybe even an architect. Maybe even a novelist if you have lots of imagination. (No idea on the salary range)

I like to think that us programmers are pretty creative too. (25k-75k) starting.

Creativity can be found in almost every career, it’s how you do the job that’s going to show it.

How can you improve your creativity in football?

What the hell are you talking about?

I guess I can’t.

Maybe you should ask Michael Vick. Creative enough?
