I did something very stupid considering I had good warning about using tobacco tea on tomato plants. Well I didn’t use straight tobacco tea, but rather a natural pesticide recipe containing tobacco tea. Now the leaves on my plants are brownish and curling up, but they aren’t dry and crispy. Is there any way to nurse my tomato plants back to good health or did I do irreversible damage?? Please help!!!
I don’t think you can save them, but you can try for an experiment.
It’s not too late to start over with new plants. Just make sure you plant them in a new spot.
For the ones I mean good health, I mean the warmups that gets your heart pumping and muscles sore like squats and jumping jacks. These are going to be done in a classroom, so please don’t include warm-ups that requires a big place to be done (eg. running around).
Pretty much anything that includes moving your feet and arms at the same time will get your heart rate going/warm you up. You can walk or march in place, reach to the ceiling and then to the floor (kind of like that game head, shoulders, knees, and toes if you are familiar with it…) The higher you move your hands above your head while walking or marching in place, the more you will get your heart pumping. Be sure to do a cool down.. perhaps walking slowly in place and rolling the shoulders. (These are exercises I actually do and they do work great) I am not sure what the age group is so I tried my best to not lean too far towards one side or the other.

I ask this because people seem to suggest that medicaid is tantamount to good health care. I always thought it meant that if you were sick or hurt, you could go sit and wait in a long obnoxious line that could take all day or all night at the county hospital to get treated. Is my perception correct?
Or could you use medicaid to get regular dental check ups, and regular physical exams that make sure you stay in good health?
This question comes up a lot in political discussions. I admit to not knowing the full facts. I hope some of you can can clarify this. Thanks.
Medicaid is a form of insurance.
What this does is offer medical/dental insurance for those that don’t have access to it. For some, if they are financially able, this means that they pay some sort of co-pay. For others, this means that they get their medical bills taken care of.
The stickler is finding those that accept medicaid as a form of payment. Many private practices don’t accept it, thus forcing people to seek other insurance. In our area, there is only one private practicing dentist that accepts it, and the only other place is the dental facility connected with our public clinic. This means that someone on medicaid needing dental care may have to wait for up to a year for an appointment. And God help you if you can’t make that appointment due to work, a medical emergency or some other conflict when the appointment comes around.
Medicaid is government offered insurance. That is the sum of the parts. It is there for those that need it. And I can tell you that it does offer a very valid form of insurance for those that require it. I personally am thankful that it is there, because without it, many that I care for/work with would be without many of the things that they need for their care, as well as for the medications they need to live as normal of a life as possible. It covers medical visits, lab visits, medications, and such. What it covers, like any other insurnace plan, depends upon the plan the person has.

My husband and I are looking to purchase health insurance. We are young (under 25), healthy (non-smokers) and looking for coverage mainly for doctor’s office visits and prescriptions. Can anyone recommend a good website or insurance company that we can look at to choose a plan? We live in Michigan if that makes a difference too.
Health insurance can be very tricky. Since I’m from Nebraska I’m not familiar with the Michigan regulations, so I recommend you call a nearby health insurance agent. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Health-Insurance.html They will be able to help you.
I lost my job a few months ago along with the health insurance, does anyone know where a 24 year old guy, no health problems, etc can find a cheap but good health insurance company?

Being as healthy as you can be is a not so well kept secret. People just ignore it because they live to eat instead of eating to live. Here’s more on that:
Here’s all you need to lose weight and get healthy. First, you have to realize there is no quick, long lasting weight loss plan or pill that is going to do the trick. It’s purely mental. You have to learn to “Eat to live, don’t live to eat”. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? It is, if you understand that you are going to be reprogramming how you think about eating for the next few weeks. Old habits die hard, right? Not really. You get rid of bad habits by replacing them with good habits. If you learn to count your calories, keep calorie intake lower than output, exercise moderately, and eat only healthy food, you will lose weight. That’s a fact. All it takes is repetition. All success stories have this in common: The successful folks among us know how to be patient, persistent, and consistent. Set a goal and stick with it. The benefits of feeling good will outweigh any sense of sacrifice you might feel about having to push away that cake and ice cream. I have to come up with a new health question everyday for my health class. If anyone has any good questions that have ANYTHING to do with health, please send them.
What is Ostiomileitus, and it’s treatment.
I recently contacted someone who is interested in re-homing their 10 month old green mini macaw. They claim the bird is in good health, they are just moving out of town and can’t take the bird. They are asking $500. That seems kind of high for a "re-homing" fee.
Any input?
Thanks!
Hi, As a parrot rescue person I do not charge for the adoption of my birds, I do accept donations to help out, everyone is different. 500 for a mini that has been socialized and in good health is well worth the money. They cost over 1000+ to buy new. A parrot is a life time commitment, no different than raising a child. Do your research before you decide to invest in a lifetime commitment that does not leave the house when they turn 18.
